Exposition is daily M-F after the 8 a.m. Mass until 7 p.m. (Friday until 5 p.m.). Experience the power of his presence. Consider taking a weekly Holy Hour.
Training is available for boys and young men to assist the priest at Mass and other liturgical services.
Trained Eucharistic Ministers distribute Holy Communion at Sunday Masses.
Men and women are trained to proclaim the Word at weekend Masses.
Ushers are trained to welcome parishioners, seat people, help with collections, but also to deal with emergencies that occur during Mass.
Special caring for the Church: care for linens & vessels, clean/polish candle holders, dust the church, keep pews orderly, water indoor plants, set up for Mass, decorate Church at Christmas, change seasonal colors, etc.
Opportunities are offered for deeper growth in faith, knowledge of Catholic beliefs and traditions: faith-formation & video series, Bible studies. We are here to help form intentional disciples, etc.

Volunteers donate time and effort to clean up grounds, shovel snow, do handyman projects, etc.

Deaths in the parish
E-mail support-line. People sign up to receive notice of deaths within the parish family in order to:
– give prayer support
– attend rosary and/or funeral
– donate food and/or help serve at the funeral reception
Bereavement support
Send condolence cards at the time of death, at the 6th month and one year anniversaries. Volunteers needed.
Memorial Service in November each year
Volunteers bake cupcakes once a month on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The cupcakes are taken to the Brothers of the Good Shepherd Center who feed the homeless.
Each child is a special gift from God. Every other week volunteers find great joy giving 3 hours of play, crafts, singing, etc. caring for children while F.I.A.T. Moms join in Bible study and Adoration.

A fraternal ministry that supports faith, families, fellowship and moral leadership; provides support to pastor and parish. Men over 18 are encouraged to join. Holy Child Knights of Columbus website HolyChildKofCNM.org.
Majordomos, supported by parishioners , care for mission churches' upkeep, provide funeral support, raise funds for the church and for various charities, hold fiestas annually etc.

While sewing, seamstresses pray for those who are ill or in distress. Those who receive the small blankets know they are "covered in prayer." Donations for blankets help defray blanket expenses. Seamstresses needed.
Make requests for prayer needs and intentions. Join the e-mail prayer group; pray when a request is received.
Pray/witness in front of abortion clinics, especially during "40 Days for Life." Volunteer at Project Defending Life's offices. Help one to two times a year with Respect Life fund raisers, diaper drives, adopt a high-way clean up, etc. Help The Gabriel Project - a compassionate response to women facing an unplanned pregnancy.
A process for those wishing to become full members of the Catholic Church: the unbaptized, baptized in another faith tradition, or baptized Catholics who still need First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Please contact the Parish office for more info.
Pray for world peace and for the conversion of enemies of Jesus is prayed each Sunday at 1:15 p.m. in Church.
Vincentians are "Called by God to grow in holiness through service to the poor," promoting dignity and respect to those in need. Become a Member – a special calling. Or an Associate Member, putting faith into action. This ministry includes help with transportation for appointments. New members always welcome.
Help would be given periodically with a visit for companionship. Other needs that may surface include periodic light housekeeping, meals, and errands like grocery shopping or taking to appointments.
Volunteers contact new comers with a welcoming phone call, arrange to meet them at Mass and introduce them to other parishioners and ministry opportunities. |
