Call the office at 281-2297 for more information or if you want to volunteer.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Society of St. Vincent de Paul thanks Holy Child parishioners for their generosity to the poor. This year we were able to give the St. Vincent de Paul National Disaster Relief Program $4,000 to aid the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is grateful to all of the parishioners who donate to the poor (second collection on the 1st Sunday of each month).

If you find in your heart that you would like to help with the poor, please call the Parish office for contact information or come to a meeting on the second or last Sunday , after the 10 a.m. Mass. in the large school room across from San José Hall. We have several missions, like driving those that have no other way to Dr's , groceries, etc,, visiting the lonely, finding organizations willing to donate to our cause, helping with the youth program.

Eucharistic Adoration Adorers Needed

"Could you not watch one hour with me?" Matthew 26:40
We like to schedule two adorers each hour in case one can't make it. We are currently in need of a second adorer for Monday through Friday for any of these hours between 8:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. To volunteer call 281-2297.

Did you know that in January 2005, we began a twelve-hour daily Adoration with two adorers every hour to celebrate the "Year of the Eucharist" proclaimed by the late Pope John Paul II? Come and experience the "True Presence" yourself.

Currently the number of adorers barely covers each hour. We need 45 new adorers in order to have two on each hour. If you have been considering Adoration – take the plunge now. There are so many blessings during and from Adoration.

Project Defending Life

Project Defending Life continues to provide aid and comfort to abortion-vulnerable women in unplanned and crisis pregnancies at their offices on 7009 Prospect Ave, NE in Albuquerque. They are in need of financial donations and baby items for helping the moms and their babies and to support the operations of PDL. For more detailed information or if you would like to help go to the PDL Home Page. Donations can be made from their website. You can also follow them on their Facebook page.

Project Defending Life is a Catholic-based ministry that answers the challenge of Pope John Paul II's encyclical, the Gospel of Life. They are committed to defending the sacredness of human life from conception to natural death, focused specifically on ending abortion. PDL serves the greater Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas of Northern New Mexico, within the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, and collaborate with other pro-life efforts in the state of New Mexico.

Kathleen Welker, PDL Executive Director:
"During the summer, and by the grace of God, a small building just north of Planned Parenthood became vacant. We signed a lease and started the process of occupying the building in September. Fr. Daniel Williamson, CFR, is working to make modifications to the building that will become our new administrative office. Although half the size of the former location, 729 San Mateo allows us to install a small chapel, with a nice reception area, two client advocacy rooms, an admin office, and even an ADA-compliant restroom! We hope to occupy the new building early 2019, offering Mass on a regular basis at the new Holy Innocents Chapel and providing services that will allow pregnant women to save themselves and their babies."

Pray to End Abortion
